6th Grade homework

Hello 6th graders,
Please post your writing response at the bottom of this post. Remember you need to read the biography of Martin Luther and then answer the "then and now" question on page 638.

  1. Ethren Watada refused a war that he was previously going to fight in. He researched more about the war and did not like the reasons people were attacking each other. He did not go to war with his army. He was punished for his actions even though he believed they were the right thing to do.

  2. President Barack Obama made several speeches about what he believed in. He is a democrat so he has different political views and beliefs than Republicans. He believes that you do not need to be wealthy or come from a rich family to be great in life. His childhood life influenced om to work hard. When he was a child he was poor and was home schooled.

  3. Nelson Mandela, the first fully representative elected president of South Africa, dedicated himself to the struggle of his country. He fought for what he beliefs in even if it meant for him to be imprisoned. After his term of 27 years, he continues to fight for the freedom of his people and country.
