Imagine that friends who lived in another town visited you. What would you provide for them? Would it be different form the things you provide for yourself? Imagine you are Philemon or Baucis, and write two paragraphs explaining how you would have treated their guests.
The things that I would provide for Philemon or Baucis wouldn't be much different from the things that I would provide for other people that visited me.I might have provided them maybe a little bit different clothing than other people because they are Gods.I probably would have given them bigger clothing then what I where because they are Gods and are adults.I might give them a little bit more high-class shoes because I would feel like I am not giving them enough and I want them to be comfortable.

not only because they are Gods but also because you always want to be generous.I would always give them comfortable blankets to use. I would say to be open to anything in the house.I would try to be as nice I possibly could.

If my friends visited who were from another town, I would provide them warmth, food and shelter. I dont think it would be different from what I treat myself because that would be mean. Philemon and Baucis were very brave to try and kill their very own goose, because they had no food for the strangers to eat. I always think of the Good Samaritain law because it helps me to remember that you should always help a person if they really need help.
ReplyDeleteIf I were Philemon or Braucis I would have treated them kind and asked what they needed. I dont think I would have tried to kill the goose because that was their pet. I would have tried to hunt for other foods. At the same time if they really needed food I would have killed the goose. I would give them water and shelter too.
If I were Philemon or Baucis I would proid my guests with a room of their own, even if I was sacrificing my own room, and I would try to give them extra blankets. I would make sure they were comfertable. I would give them a nice dinner, even if i didnt get much. I would try to provid them with a different setting than I would use alone, meaning I would keep everything tidy and clean. I would give them more clothing, maybegive them food I wouldn't usually eat.I would mostly make sure they were comfertable around me. I would make sure I didn't look like a stalker or something. I would be very kind and caring, no matter if they were a god or goddess, I will treat thm the same, with care.

ReplyDeleteIf I had guest like Philemon and Baucus did I would not be selfish. I would treat a guest kindly and give them a bed and room to sleep in. they would get food and entertainment till they left. I would treat all guests the same. no one would starve in my house. If a god or goddess came and idid not know I would treat them the same as any guest. If I knew they were a god or goddess I would still treat them the same as every one else and i would not look for a reward like Philemon and Baucis. ReplyDeleteIf I were Philemon or Baucis I would let my guests stay wherever they want inside my house. I would provide blankets for them and a bed. I would give them some snacks while I cook dinner. I would try to look as dignified as possible and keep house clean. The things I would give them would be different from the things I provide for myself because I think you should treat guests as nice as possible.I would give them nice clothing and make sure they are comfortable.
ReplyDeleteI want my guests to feel at home and to feel like they could visit any time.I would not kill my pet to feed them though.I would give them the crops I grew(if I even have a farm.)If I do not have any food I would go hunting for food.It does not matter if they are gods or peasants I would still treat them nicely.
If I were Philemon or Baucus being visited by a friend from another town, I would take care of their needs unless they are demanding and rude. I would not care if they are nobles or peasants, they are our guests. I would not like to kill the goose because it was a pet but if it were to help my guests be comfortable I would.
ReplyDeleteI thought the goose was smart to find out our guests were gods. Though I would not ask for a reward for being hospitable, I was pleased to receive the temple from the gods. I would be thankful and to show it, I would use our temple to help worship our kind guests. I would also continue to help others no matter who they are.
If guests were to visit me at my home I would try my best to make them feel welcome. Even if I had little, I would give them nice rooms to stay in and try to make them as comfortable as possible. I think I would provide different things for my guests than I would myself. When I cooked dinner I would try to make the food better tasting and better for our health. I would also make sure that my guests had plenty to eat and drink. I would definetly give them warm clothes, shoes, blankets, and fluffy pillows. I would also talk to them so they feel welcome, not unwelcome and left out.
ReplyDeleteI believe it is extremely important to treat my guests like family. If I made them feel unwelcome they might not come to visit me again. I would also want to make sure they enjoy their visit instead of suffering the whole time they stayed. I would take them to places I think they would enjoy seeing and introduce them to some of my other friends so they can meet new people and maybe make some new friends.
If some of my friends from another town visited me I would definately give them whatever I had but, I would not offer them one of my pets because, I love my animals and I could not bear to give them up. Eventhough I didn't have a lot i would give them a very nice place to stay and I would make with whatever I had left to eat except for pets and I would make the best food they have ever tasted in their whole life. I just wish that they would be gracious about my efforts.

If friends from another town visited me then I would try to be as generous as possible. I would try to make sure they felt comfortable and safe so they would want to come back. Of course I wouldn't cook my pet for them if I don't have anything to eat for them like Philemon and Baucis because that would be too hard for me to do. But I would try to give them as much as I could and hope they would be compassionate of my intentions. I also would try to keep the house clean and nice for them and give them a comfortable place to sleep.
ReplyDeleteIf I were Philemon or Baucis as I said before I most likely would not cook the goose because it is my pet. I would try to find anything I could for my guests to eat though. My house would always be open to all that need a place to rest. If they were God or peasant I would treat them the same. I would not ask for something in return and if I was offered then I would not be selfish. As long as the guests were friendly and not rude I would try everything I could to make sure they were comfortable.
If a friend or friends visited from another town I would provide a home for them if they didn't have a place to stay. I would make sure that they were safe and happy. I would make sure they got food and a warm place to sleep. If one of my friends were unhappy I would make sure they had everything they needed and try to make them as happy as possible. I would hope my friend(s) would have all the necessary things for their visit. I wouldn't cook my pets or give them my pets because my pets are to special to me. I would provide activities or games for my friend to play so they wouldn't get bored. I would make sure my friends were satisfied so they would come again.
